I was contacted at work to accept free magazines. I explained my company wouldn't be interested. She said I could accept it personally. I only had to pay the shipping, and i would recieve 6 magazine subscriptions. It would be $13 a month, for 2 years. But I had to pay $26 a month for a year, and that would pay me up for the 2 years. I was told I could cancel anytime. They sent someone to my job to pick up the first payment. I signed up for my magazines.

About 2 weeks later I recieved my payment booklet, stating my first payment was due in 2 more weeks. I called the so-called customer service and explained I had already paid the first payment, so was this a typo. She told me that payment that was picked up came off the end of the contract. So instead of having to pay 12 payments, I only owed for 11, but it's removed from the end. I still owed the first payment. I of course hadn't recieved any magazines yet. So I told her I was not going to send any more money for something I hadn't even recieved yet. She told me it can take up to 90 days to recieve your first magazine.

About 2 months later I recieved one magazine, the whole time I recieved daily phone calls for my payment. I sent a payment to get them to leave me alone. They called my job several times a day. One lady called my co-worker a f'n b!t@h and hung up on her b/c she was screening my calls for me. When they called back I asked for a manager and was hung up on. They have called 3 and 4 times in a row, back to back. When the next lady called I explained to her I would not continue service b/c I thought this was a hoax, and the unbeleivable customer service. She said the lady that had cursed out my coworker was sitting next to her, and she had passed on a message for her manager to return my call(which never happened) but needed a payment of like $90 to bring my account current. They tell me the contract is not able to be canceled. They have continued to call me daily, I had to change my home #, but they still call me at work. I've told them they are not allowed to call me at work, and they still do. That's against the law. If you explain to them it is causing trouble for you to receive their calls at your place of employment, they are not allowed to call there. Yet they are. I went online and entered their name in google, and all I see is complaints about the same thing.

Not to mention, the magazines are not the ones I ordered, they are all sent with notes "last one, renew your subscription", plus they are either damaged, or old, meaning they've been sold at the grocery stores for weeks.

This is just a hoax. I wish I would've just hung up on them to start with.
