Consolidated Readers Institute I cancelled the very next day, Now they say It's not on their record. They have been harrassing me at work, my cell phone. Arlington Heights, Illinois

I had received this call at work six or seven times before I decided to hear them out. I work in a pretty good size Law Firm and after listening to the lady over the phone she really made it sound terrific I would get 8 different magazines a month and all I needed to pay was $13.00 a month. Sounded pretty good I agreed to the terms.

After I hung up and mentioned it to a co-worker she told me to check the company. I did and read all sorts of disturbing things. I called back the number to no avail. No one answered. I got another call the next day, to confirm to which I declined and requested them to cancel my order. The woman on the other side was trying to convince me to not cancel, I should take advantage of this package... I told her to please cancel it and that's it.

A couple of weeks later a payment booklet came in which I wrote across it cancelled. A couple of days later I started to receive many calls harrassing, trying ti intimidate me and scare me. This man Jim told me I was recorded accepting the terms, I asked where is the recoding for me cancelling? He said there was no such call made. He just made me sick. People should be aware of these nasty tactics made by these people. Maybe that is how desperate people work?
