Consumer Portfolio Services Illegal Debt Collection Practices & Harassment Irvine California

For those of who have had dealings with CPS in the past, I won't go into detail about what they have done to me (only because I have read on here from numerous other people that I am not alone). I feel that something should be done about this..and I think it's time for a lawsuit to get started.

There are times in life when things get tough, and yes we do fall behind in our payments, and while some just collapse under the pressure, others like myself keep fighting on because we care about the long run. We are not bottom feeders...we needed a vehicle, and we had to make with what we could, but that doesn't mean we should be treated with disrespect.

I am in the process of filing a lawsuit against CPS for illegal debt collection practices and harassment. I have already filed a compliant with the Michigan Attorney Generals Office and the FTC, because I sent them a fax to their office sometime ago to cease calling me at work and on my cell during work hours which the continue do (despite the fact that I have records of every call, as well as the fax and letter I sent to their office and the tranmission report showing it was received, as well proof of delivery by mail).

I don't plan on suing them for an inordinate amount of money...just the exact amount to pay off my vehicle as well as attorney's cost and fees. What I need from you good folks is testimonies like you have put on here (I would perfer individuals from Michigan because there may be a need to have you come testify in person, but I will take statements for folks not from Michigan), and recorded conversations with CPS account managers, which will help establish a pattern.
