Consumer Portfolio Services Threatened, Harrassed, and Cursed at Work!!! Irvine California

I bought a 2003 Ford Escape in 2004 and was financed through CPS. Four years my payment was on time. Recently, I was struggling with finances and I had missed a payment in July. August 15 (my due date) I paid $300 of the $400.

I spoke to Mike S. on Tuesday August 26, 2008 told him that I had run into some problems and that I would pay the $100 on Friday the 29th when I was paid. On Friday morning, Mike called my place of employment. I was in a business meeting with the owner of the company. I told Mike I couldn't speak to him now I was at work and that I would call him after work. He immediately called back. I told him I would make the payment online like I have the last four years and I would call him after work.

Again, I hung up...first of all because Mike just kept talking over me and saying that I HAD to speak to him NOW. The third time my supervisor said let me speak to him. I put him on the phone...while he's explaining to Mike that I'm not able to take a personal phone call at work..."Mr. Sanders" begins calling. I tell him the same thing...he calls back...and says "we can do this all day" After the 20th PHONE CALL!! I was sent home from work.

Friday evening, Mr. Sanders calls me on my cell phone and says I see you made a payment can I have that confirmation number. I said you were the other gentleman that was calling my work today harrassing me...he then started threatening with coming to get my car (this is after he called regarding the payment I made!!). I replied to him...the Kelly Blue Book value is $2400...the only way you're going to get the $8000 I owe is if I keep making the payments...at that point Mr. Sanders yelled "God you, Leslie". There has to to be something that can be done about this company. These are vicious people who are getting away with doing something illegal!!!
