I have a vehicle financed with this company, and the have called numerous times in a single day. They constantly get an attitude problem with my family,to the point of bringing tears. My wife and her employer have told them to not call her place of business numerous times, and yet they still call. They have recently started calling my neighbors to harass them to try to make them angry at me.I am now seeking out an attorny for their breach of the privacy act and harassment charges.I have been informed to hide my vehicle till I speak to an attorny. They have called and degraded my name to everyone that lives near me,as well as my family, and will not allow me to speak to the supervisor. If anyone is looking to pursue a group class action against them, please inform me so my name can be put at top of list...

I wouldn't go as far as saying they are a "great" company. But what they are is a Sub-Prime lender, basically the lender of last resort for most people. In that no one else probably would have financed you.

The only reason they would be calling you or people you know is because you are late in your payments. If you are on-time they have no reason to call. If you are on time there is no reason for you to "hide" your vehicle. With the exception of a couple of States(and TN is not one of them) there is no restriction on them calling other people you may know and informing them of your debt. So you may want to save the money in hiring a lawyer and use that to pay your debt.

By the way, if you are hiding the vehicle they can get a court order forcing you to turn it over. You will then have your local Sheriff Department show up at your door(or place of employment). At that time you have a choice to turn the car over or go to jail for violation of a court order.

Responsibility

CPS is a great company that allows thousands of individuals to finance a car to get to and from work and their daily activities. If you pay your car payment on time, then there would be no reason for them to contact you, your family, or employers. If you need to hide your car, from a creditor so they do not repo it, then from a readers point of view you are deliquent on your payments.
My recommendation give your car back to them, or pay what is owed. Take the bus, ride a bike, or simply walk to work.
