I stumbled over this website making my CPS payment online. This is the worst company and should be held accountable in some way for not only their predatory lending practices but their offensive and accusatory customer services, if it can legitimately be called that. When my daughter was hospitalized with a fatal form of asthma, status asthmaticus, I had arranged to make my payment by money gram, about 15 days late. The rep told me that I had to call the conf# in to the company the day the payment was made. (Even though they would have the pymt electronically). My daughter was deathly ill and I spent all my time at the hospital but I did make the pymt exactly as promised, however I did not call in the conf# - no cells in the hospital. To this day, 2 1/2 years later I still have the voice mail msg saved in my phone. It says, "Let me get you straight....if you ever neglect to follow my instructions, the next time your daughter is sick, you'd better have some bus tokens to go visit her in the hospital, because you won't have a car to drive. I called the rep back and said not to threaten me. Her supv called me and said they would be there to get my car within the hour. The pymt was made. Also, on my credit report -- I have NEVER been late with this company. I wouldn't have even gone to this company but the dealership steered me in that direction saying ford credit's rate was higher, now I know the dealers have incentives from CPS. I could have gone with Ford Credit then. Now I am stuck. BEWARE of this company. And, my daughter recovered after a lengthy hospital stay, thank God.

You may have paid extra for financing your car with CPS. You not only paid a higher interest rate but may have been charged more for your car because of hidden bank fees. The dealership has no incentive to finance with them specifically. To find out about hidden bank fees that cost you and the dealership more money go to my blog at http://thecreditdiva.blogspot.com
