You can pay payments ahead and they do go toward your next payment.
I know this from experience. My loan with them is paid off this month and for 2 years I have paid ahead some months when I knew the next month I would be short. My payment is 356.00. If I paid 400.00 then the next month
when I called in my payment it was only 312.00. I know mine does not go
toward principal. My car loan has never been late and yes I was very credit challenged when iI got my loan(divorced). Not even 30 days late on my credit
yet I still recieved phone calls 5 times a day everyday wondering where and
when my next payment would be. The only way it would stop was to get a
new phone number so they could only call the disco one..RELIEF..
Now when I call in my payment they ask for the phone number I always give them the old one. Sometimes they pull a line on me "just in case we get disconnected can I have a number to call you back".. I still give them the disco one. Sorry
for your trouble remember your not alone. I am buying my next car from the
same dealership. Even they are no longer dealing with credit acceptance.

It seems like you're leaving out key details.
Send them a letter that says: Please be assured that I intend to pay all of my payments on or before the due date. Please do not continue to call and remind me. Thank you. If you have any concerns or questions, please write.

With the majority of loans, if you make payments that are larger than required or send more than one payment per month, they apply the extra money to the principal of the loan. It is not counted as "paying ahead." It is actually better for you because it reduces the interest that will be charged and means you will pay off the loan sooner with less money.
But you must still send a payment every month or you will be considered a late payer. If you want to "pay ahead", put the money in your bank account and set up your bank to automatically send payments out of the account just before every due date.
