Well, Im going to try this again...I typed my whole story and I lost it.Hmmm ??

My husband and I purcased a 2004 GMC Envoy. When we financed our vehicle we were aware that it was a "second chance" finance company. We were also aware of the high interest rate, because of our poor credit but we figured we could pay it on time and rebuild our credit.

I cannot believe that this company can legally treat people the way they do, I wish someone could investigate their poor practices.

They call the day the car payment is due and they call every hour on the hour, starting at 8am until 9pm. This has been going on since August. I have never had a late payment except when they made it very difficult for me to send my payment in.

I purchased a pre-paid credit card that I could load with money and make my car payment. I called them and gave them the account # and they informed me that they do not accept that card. They then told me I could call the pre-paid company and get a routing # from them and they would "accept" that. I did just that. I called CAC and gave them the routing # and they in turn gave me a Confirmation #.

Three days later I recvd a call from CAC stating that my payment did not go thru and I was charged a NSF fee. I tried to explain to them that if they didnt "accept" this type of payment that it would not be NSF and that they couldnt charge me 20$ due to their inability of accepting payment methods. They were nasty, rude, and downright mean. I of course asked for a supervisor and they refused. They told me that I would have to talk to my pre-paid company and have them reimburse me for the 20$.

I provided them with the info they requested, they gave me a confimation # ,then they refused to "accept" it.
I made my January payment by phone, I gave them a routing # to my checking account and the account#. I just now got a phone call today, @ 8am on a Saturday informing me that once again ....my payment did not go through due to NSF in my bank account..

I explained to the woman that there was no way my bank account was NSF and that there must be some kind of mistake and she then informed me that, "thats between you and your bank and you need to make a payment today or we are shuttin' your car off" and then informed me they were going to add a 20$ for the NSF!!

I asked her to speak to a supervisor because something was very wrong. She refused and asked me how I was going to pay them TODAY. I told her I would call right back that I was going to call my bank. Low and behold my bank told me they never rejected payment and there was plenty of money in my account.

I called them back and of course got a different person and she then asked me how I was gonna pay today and there is also a NSF fee. I tried to explain to her the situation and she wouldnt listen.

I told her I wanted to speak to her supervisor immediately.she put me on hold for 10min then got back on the phone and told me that her "super" said that they probably input wrong #'s and we need to redo the transaction???? Oh my God!!! And of course the super refused to get on the phone.

This was their fault, they never apologized and talked to my husband and I like we were 2nd class citizens.
I was so upset, I called the CS dept. to make a complaint for the way I was treated and he informed me that this kind of behavior is "NORMAL" for them because the "PEOPLE" they finance have poor credit.....
WHAT?

So because of my poor credit I deserve to be spoken to this way. I asked for his super and you guessed it ...they wouldnt come to the phone. I have never dealt with a company of this caliber...they are rude, obnoxious, and very unprofessional...If your car dealer says" Credit Acceptance" is the fianance company...RUN as fast as you can!!!Dont look back!!!!

Mary & Joe, anytime our payment center attempts to get a payment from your bank(which we verify before giving you a confirmation nmber) and for what ever reason due to your error we do not receive payment, it is considered nsf. You were alsoo given a payment booklet with numerous options to pay and you know beforehand when your payment is due, sounds to me like you waited til the last minute and tried to blame CAC. If you had any intention of making your payment on time, the payment could or should have been mailed 7-10 days before the actual due date. You were also given the opportunity to make the payment online, which you obviously chose not to do because it was easier to blame someone else for you not making your payment in a timely manner. Get grip, you know when your payment is due and it is no one's responsibility but yours to make sure your payment is received and posted in a timely manner to avoid any fees. Everything is outlined in your contract & payment booklet or statement.

Maria-

I'm sorry that your going thru this and the best advice is pay using Visa, MasterCard, Money Gram or Western Union , it's $9@ Walmart. Also try to avoid pay by check it takes about 3 days for the check to clear. If I remember they don't accept American Express or Discover. I haven't worked there since 2007. But know they could have changed. So if you do pay by Money Gram or West Union as you can do it at home with you pre-paid or regular credit card. Get a confirmation, and when you contact the rep, ALWAYS get that reps name and ID # , and the rep's supervisor name. Keep logs (written info) of all the rep or supervisor you talk to. Also ask which call center, as a majority of the calls are from Henderson, NV ( Las Vegas ). The Top dog- head honcho of the whole call center is Tanya. This can save you the drama from some of these rude jerks @ this SCAMMING COMPANY! Second is not really bad, it just means that the big dealers have higher restrictions of their credit criteria and Credit Acceptance is more lenient when they review your credit so you can have a "2nd chance to have a vehicle and also to rebuild you credit again. Good Luck!
