Cross Country Bank ripoff over billing, fraud, rude customer service representatives ripoff business from hell Voorhees New Jersey

I got scammed into getting a Cross country Bank Credit Card. My balance limit was 500.00. I made all of my payments on time and then decided to cancel my card on March 5, 2002.

The representative who assisted me (Amy) told me the account could not be canceled due to a remaining balance. I told her this was illegal and I wanted it canceled and I woul dmake the final payment. She then said she couldn't. I refused to pay the remaining balance off and told them to mark my account as to why. I now have a bill of 1117.16 and am getting harrassed by the Professional Recovery Services in New JErsey at 800-309-8000.

I told them my credit limit was 500.00, And I would not pay anything above and beyonf that. I offered a one time payment of the 500.00 to settle the account but that IW anted it in writing the account would be settled. Of course they were unwilling to help. I then said I was going to sue do to the fact they did not cancel the account upon reuqest and tacked on monthly charges and interest that should not have been issued,
