CrownJewelers.com sells over priced jewelery of cheap plastic quality online in exchange for promised bloated credit ratings. Its all a scam to suck money out of you anyway they can. They require a down payment that they instantly profit off of. You then continue making payments' on the items which is basically all a front for improved credit rating (which is what you are really paying for) Many of the pieces are of bubble gum machine quality. This is all a front and is a great business idea. I give them credit for the nice scam set up.
It all works nicely as long as you the customer pay for their extortion. Once they have you in their grips they demand extra fees, late fees for payments that are not late, insane finance fees, processing fees, etc
I got caught up in the trap. Here is how they got me I purchased a pair of earrings for $34.00. I had to pay $20.00 down. I received the earrings that turned out to be cheap plastic quality. I am not kidding they were bubble gum machine quality made in china plastic. I sent it back for a return but they claimed they never received them back. I sent regular parcel mail so I had no proof of the return. They insisted I must pay for the order anyway or they will send a negative. I sucked it up and decided I would pay. I tried to log on their site to pay the order, close my account and be done with the mess but I could not log on with the password/account number they sent. I contacted the company via email explaining I could not log in and they never would reply.
A few weeks went by and I received a letter on Feb 2nd, 2007 dated Jan 29, 2007 that showed a late fee added of $25.00 and stated I has teen days to pay or they would send negative latts to all three credit bureaus. I immediate went sent them a payment via paypal to cover all the finance fees, late fees, and charge for the plastic earrings. I had about $100 in these plastic earrings that I did not even have now
Hold on it gets worse They still sent a 30 day late to all three credit reporting agencies. The only late I have ever received on a credit report. They still will not reply to my emails. I have tried to call them but they claim I must handle through email regarding online sales but they have never replied to over 50 emails I have contacted the BBB in their area and the state attorney general and they credit reporting agnecies to look into this practice. I did have to hire an attorney and they sent a letter to the company. It cost me more money but it was the principle of the matter..so in the end I learned a lesson and I hope crown learned a small lesson about customer service.

I deserve that. However, I would not call myself a scam artist. I was just trying to use thier set up to increase my credit score so I could buy a house. I guess I took what i thought was the quick and easy way. I got burned they are rolling up the lates in retalition. I hope the credit reporting agencies help me out.
I think this report helped because they finally emailed me. They have never replied to me until today. However, all they said was prove it.

The only reason to buy from these people is to, run a scam on the three credit agencies for a "bloated credit rating". And you wonder why they aren't on the up and up with you? Go figure. Sounds like a scam the scam artist to me.
