as usual this company is giving misinformation on rebuttal. i have a private investigation agency, i also have a pipefitting ticket where i go to northen alberta to work, 2 to 3 weeks at a time , 4 or five times a year. they wrote this misinformation without talking to me. this seems to be the norm for this company. in my order in the comments space i informed them that do not ship ups, now they say its not there. just like they said i put the wrong address. a person named gerprit said he was starting a trace to me on the phone. he did not.
they did not phone the lady whom i talked to at the address they sent the package to. even though i gave them all the information. she did not recieve any package she said to me.
...on the order for it says if the CREDIT CARD address and the SHIPPING address are not the same they will contact the person, they did not.
cymax response: In your case, because the address on the shipping address was the same as what was indicated on your billing address, it had qualified to pass through this security measure and thus proceeded to process.
here it is in black and white, they did not follow company procedure.

We did not ask about any further questions about this customer's occupation because it is not within our requirements to know this type of information. Regardless, as we have explained in our previous response, we cannot be held responsible if the customer is not at home during the time of the delivery. Our website displays an estimated time of delivery from the day that the order was placed. Although this is not calculated to the exact day, it still gives the customer a good idea of when to expect the product. When this product shipped out, we emailed the tracking information to this customer. He is able to log onto the carrier's site and track his package. UPS provides an estimated scheduled delivery date. If the customer knew that he was going to be out of town, he could have contacted UPS and request a later delivery date.
This customer is asking why we did not call this lady to confirm if the package was seen at her door or not. This lady did not purchase from us, or have any idea of who we are. We cannot be calling her to inquire on the package on this customer's behalf.
As for our Cymax Policy #4: In certain circumstances we may hold your order for up to 24 hours in order to verify your shipping information if your shipping address does not match the address on your credit card. This is for your protection as a consumer and to prevent fraudulent activity.
As previously explained, this is in reference with orders where customers have entered a shipping address that does not match the billing address. In this case, because both the address was the same, it had qualified to pass through this security measure and thus proceeded to process. We were not aware that this customer did not understand the billing address was automatically the same address registered on the customer's credit card (this can be verified with any issuing bank). In other words, if the billing address or the customer's address as registered on his credit card was the same as the shipping address; it will be qualified to pass through our security measure.
Any further explanations can be found in our first response. We are firm on our decision for this customer and believe that we have addressed all of his concerns on reasonable grounds.
