I hired ****** ********** to finish my basement in *********** *** He did little work and then took off with my large deposit and never pulled permit. I hired ****** ********** of ******* ** in ******* 2017 to finish my basement in *********** *** we had a written contract that calls for pulling Building Permit. He worked on my basement project for 4-5 days and then took off with first large deposit of ***** and never completed the work. He told me that he is not coming back and when I asked for refund he simply told me that I can waste my time in the court and then he stopped taking my calls. ****** had told me that he had pulled the permit but later my town's building dept. told me that he usually applies online with incorrect/incomplete information to ensure that application gets rejected. He doesn't have the required license to work on residential property. The building department also told me that they were looking for this man in connection with another house work he did last year in the town but when building inspector gets there, he somehow slips away from the scene. I am also in touch with the local police to have this matter resolved and protest other home owners from this con artist.
