Dealpass.com identified me as a member when I did not join, has plans of charging my credit card Des Plaines Illinois

On December 30, I applied for my credit score and credit report on a site that had been advertised on television. I was informed that I would be charged one dollar for the handling of the reports from 3 various companies, and would have 7 days to cancel. I gave them my credit card no. unfortunately I did not cancel in time so was billed. I received a letter from Privacy Matters 1 2 3 stating that they were unable to contact me by e-mail So I called the company to cancel.

I talked to Ani her reference no was 262-65. She cancelled my account and then stated that she had better check to see if I had any other accounts with them. I told her no, that I had only applied to get my credit score. She came back and told me that I had an account with Saving Smart, same address as that of privacy Matters. She could not cancel the account but would transfer the call to Saving Smart. Well the transferred call appeared to be to a fax phone because of the buzzing and humming.

I recalled a letter that I had received on Jan 9 from a Savings Smart. Since I had not joined the site, I took it to be junk mail. Luckly I did not throw it out. I then noted that the letter was about the same as I had received from Privacy Matters 1 2 3. I called the phone number listed and got a recording, giving me 2 choices, to cancel or to check my standings. No human to talk to. According to the letter, they are going to also charge my credit card for services that I did not agree too.

It appears that Privacy Matters 1 2 3 and Saving Smart are the same company but two different sites, and share information such as your credit card and info whether you want it or not.

I have both letters in my possession and plan to keep them to remind me of what can occur on the internet.
