Debt Free Ventures RIPOFF Santa Monica California

First contacted Debt Free Ventures after reading their ad in The Detroit News in the classified section under financial. Spoke with Jack Martin, he put me on hold so he could run my credit was told I was approved and that my loan could be no less than $5000 usd. He said I would need 10% as a security deposit on the loan and that I would receive it back in one year if my payments were on time.

He faxed the application to me the next day. Why would I need to fill out an application if I had already been approved? I stalled the process until late January because I didnt have the $500 usd for the deposit. I receved a voice mail from Steven Shaw on January 29, 2004 stating that he would be handling my file and that Jack had a family emergency. (Busy spending everyones money that he ripped off or in jail?) So needing the money I faxed my application with all of my personal information.

I never heard back from them. If I would have done this in December I would be out the $500 but I got lucky. I'm still concerned about my personal information and I dont kow what I can do about this. I wish everyone luck in getting back there money from these thieves.
