Delta Airlines, Delta.com Horrible Service, Stranded, Ignored, Ripped Off, Internet

The flight was from Phoenix, AZ to Kansas City round trip. Both flights had layovers. 

When she left from Kansas City, her flight was 2 hours late. Brutal... but amazingly enough her layover was over an hour. True to the service that Delta now provides, the layover was also equally late so she made her flight despite both flights being delayed for over and hour. All in all a bad experience, but in the end she did make it to Phoenix. The worst of it was on the return flight. 

On her flight back to Kansas City, she had a layover in Salt Lake City. As she tried to leave Phoenix her flight was delayed yet again for over an hour this time causing her to miss her layover. I began to try to wrap up all the loose ends... set up a hotel, book another flight, and calm down a very pissed off fiance. This is when I really got a taste for how Delta treats their customers. The primary phone to contact Delta (800-221-1212) responded with a simple message... "Due to extremely high call volume we are unable to answer you call, please try again at a later time." Amazing, they don't even let you wait on hold for an hour. Instead they just don't even take your call at all. After trying 4 difference phone numbers I found on the internet I finally got one that took my call (800-453-9417). I then attempted to book a new flight to KC. Shockingly the next flight out was not until Tuesday! A full two days after she was left stranded in Salt Lake City. A great example of how many people are stuck due to Delta's service. I then tried to get a listing of hotels that Delta would re-emberse me for so I could arrange a place for my fiance to stay while she was stuck in Salt Lake. The response from the customer service rep was "I'll transfer you to our booking agent", I then found myself on the phone with Hotels.com without knowing it. Through no fault of her own the customer service rep for Hotels.com was very confused when I explained to what I needed since I assumed she was a Delta employee. After 5 minutes we finally realized that Delta just wanted to get me off the phone and because Delta receives a 3$ commission for any transfered phone call to Hotels.com it was an easy out for Delta to just get rid of me and make 3$ in the process. 

So a quick run down of my points here....
