Department Of Law And Investigations State that they have an AFFIDAVIT against me. New York, Internet

About middle of Oct in 2009 I received a call at work and the number appeared on my phone as #1007, I didn't answer and they left a message. I couldn't really understand the person leaving the message because he had a heavy accent.

But I called the number that they gave listed on my voice mail. I stated that I received a call from this number and the person who answered the phone said "oh... hey (he used my name). He immediately wanted me to verify my social security number, my name, address, and email address.

Then he told me that I got a Payday loan and never paid the company back so they have an AFFIDAVIT against me. I told him that I never got any money from anyone and he said that I better send them money because the court date was next week (but he fumbled up his words and couldn't give me a date and time). 

Then he stated that I should get a lawyer and and have the lawyer give him a call back. I Said why do I need a lawyer when I didn't do anything wrong and I never got money. He just continued the same script again.

I got very angry on the phone so he hung up. I called him back from my work number and I asked for the company name and his name. He stated that he was with the New York Department of Law and Investigation and his name was Bobbie Byrd (keep in mind that he had a heavy middle eastern accent with a country bumpkin name).  

My cell phone tells me the city and state that calls are coming from and with this number the call was from Buffalo, NC not New York. I then ended the call and called the credit bureaus and have a credit monitoring.

I just got another call today at 5:29pm from a woman with a strong accent and through the voice mail you can tell that she is reading a script. She struggled to leave a message and then stated that if I didn't call her back then she wishes me the best of luck with the case against me.

I believe in the state of GA it is not legal to get a payday loan (so if that is true then how did I get money from this company since I live in GA) Also, if you are expected to be in court you must be served with papers which I have not. When someone gets a loan out their credit reflects the loan that was taken out.

Also when a customer does business with a company and they owe the company money that company usually send out statements/invoices which I never got anything. Companies who are trying to get their money back also call/email customer, and since none of the above applies then this "company" needs to do some research because their scam is sh*tty.
