DeVry University DeVry University Cobb Galleria, Atlanta GA, Uses Unfair Business Practices as well as Intimidation Internet, Georgia

My complaint is the misappropriation of government funding by DeVry University and it's staff. After requesting and reviewing detailed documentation of my awards records from both my lender Sallie Mae and DeVry University's accounting departments, I found inaccuracies in the university's accounting. Beginning in 2007 to present they stated that I received $16,836.46 in refunds that I did not receive. When I addressed my concerns to the University in Georgia and the corporate headquarters in Chicago I was told that this amount had been disbursed to my checking account. However I have bank statements that disproves their claims.

I also noticed  several other charges that are inconsistent with the records that Devry university provided to me. I requested a meeting with the director of finance Mrs Loucha Simon P 404-270-2743 at the Decatur campus on Sept 14,15th and again on the 24th with nor results. I then make the same request to the president, Mr. Chris Chavez of the Georgia chapter of DeVry University P 404-270-2718, the Corporate escalation director of student affairs , Mrs Kathy Harmon at 3005 Highland Parkway Downers Grove, IL 60515 P: 630.515.2474 and the Dean at 100 Galleria Pkwy. S.E. Ste. 100 Atlanta, GA 30339 P: 770.916.3712 at Cobb Galleria location Mrs. Norma Marquez, more than a month ago on Sept 24th,2010 no resolution.

I feel that they are denying me the financial information that should be provided and explained to me; also I feel that I have not been given a sufficient  opportunity to rectify this situation at the local level. This type of behavior is unacceptable. I am requesting information on how to further investigate this matter and what steps I can take to present the evidence I have accumulated to the proper authorities. FYI I hvae attended two seperate universities and my debt was only $ 34,000 but thanks to the Devry University my debt for student loans have skyrocketed to over $ 81,000 which in my opinion is just criminal. i could have had a Harvard Elite education for  more than $56,000.
