Devry University Overcharged Naperville Illinois

I signed up for two classes. I signed up for and received financial aid. I attended one class, each class. I then decided to drop both classes.

I was told by Devry financial staff that I would have to pay $500. to $600. for dropping both classes, I agreed. When I called after that, I would be told that things were being processed and not ready.

About two months passed, I was sent a letter from the bank who issued the loans, the letter stated that the loan was sold to the Department of Education.

I called Devry student finances, everyone I talked to gave the same reply, call a different number. I called the bank, they said call Department of Education, I called Department of Education, they said I had a student loan balance of $1,445.55, and if I had a problem with the amount to contact Devry. Called Devry again, same reply, call a different number until no one answers.
I also think that Devry received money from the Veterans Administration, amount unknown. I also paid Devry $100. in fees while signing up for classes.

I was told by Devry all loans would be repaid, and I would be charged $500. to $600. minus the $100. I already paid.

Now I have a student loan to pay in the amount of $1445.55.
