In April 2010 I purchased an Invacare XPO2 portable oxygen concentrator from DH Medical. The purchase carried a manufacturer's 5-year warranty. In August the concentrator quit working, with trouble lights indicating a failed compressor. I called the manufacturer who told me to return my concentrator through the vendor, as was their standard procedure. First I emailed DH Medical and then I called. In both the email and the telephone voice message I explained what I had been told by the manufacturer, but I never received an acknowledgement or response from DH Medical. Finally, I found another authorized dealer who would accept my warranty claim and forward my unit to the manufacturer. I would never buy anything from DH Medical again, but I have been favorably impressed by the manufacturer who has initiated a study on how to avoid such problems in the future.
