My husband bought me a diamond nexus 3.47 CT pear loose stone.. The stone comes guaranteed for life so we both felt secure in the purchase. However because we are both retired and on a fixed income, we really thought long and hard before we finalized the purchase.. I know my husband made a huge sacrifice to get me this stone, so I only wear it on special occassions.. He surprised me Christmas Day 2016.. We took the ring to the New York Diamond district - the best in the world for quality jewerly and had a pro set the diamond.. I have worn the ring 4 times since receiving it, and noticed the stone is split in half.. The only thing holding it together is the setting.. I have the AIG report that has the hardness of the stone on the moh's scale at 9.1 compared to a mined diamond at 10.0. They absolute lied, it is clearly a piece of cheap glass -- The jeweler noticed as well...but I took this company on their word and so called reputation, and got scammed..
We called customer service to inquire about repairing the ring, and was told I voided the warranty because a professional jeweler set the stone. and only Diamond Nexus should set the stone.I told them, I have the original paperwork and there is no disclaimer stating this, however she insisted the disclaimer is on a tab within a tab within their internet site. They insisted i buy another stone.. I still cannot believe what I was hearing.. The rep was rude, and told me point blank, I was wasting my time because they under no circumstances would refund me, nor provide a replacement.. The only option was to buy another stone... If anyone is reading this complaint -- please do not purchase a tic tac from these folks - They are peddeling cheap glass as diamond simulants.. they should not be in business for the way they treat hard working consumers. I think I would feel safer walking alone in a jungle swarming with snakes... Diamond Nexus preys on those of us who cannot afford real diamonds.. They literally took our money, and gave us the option of giving them more of our hard earned money... Unbelievable.

#1 UPDATE Employee
Incorrect information
AUTHOR: Kyle Blades - (USA)

I understand why this customer was upset and we were in the middle of trying to help them when they decided to post this review. However, our website clearly states that if anyone else works on or sets one of our stones, the warranty is voided: diamondnexus.com/customer-service#lifetime-stone-guarantee We would have been happy to set this stone for the customer and they could have kept their full warranty.
The incorrect information is that the customer states our product is nothing but glass. We have a patented product (# 9055792) that has been independently tested numerous times (diamondnexus.com/product-education-independent-testing.html). Also, Google independently tracks all of our orders and we continue to have a very high satisfaction rating: google.com/shopping/seller?q=diamondnexus.com&hl=en_US.
