First let me tell you about myself-
1) I am a 50 year old male.
2) I currently purchase cable tv from my local provider
3) I am not a dealer of, or represented myself as a dealer of cable boxes in an attempt to receive a better price from Digital TV Express.
4) I am not interested in illegal cable tv. I wanted to purchase an additional receiver to obtain the channels I currently pay for. This is what the internet add I responded to claimed the receiver would do.
Summary -
The first of June 2010 I ordered a digital cable converter box from Digital TV Express. The intention of this cable box was to be used in my newly remodeled room to be able to view the cable stations that I currently pay for as described in Digital TV's website as "Plug and Play".
The fist sign that this was a bad investment was when JD (company owner) requested payment by money order. I learned NEVER MAKE INTERNET PURCHASE BY COD.
When I ordered I asked for a price of the cable box and I was quoted a price. I never requested special dealer price. As I stated above I am not or intend on being a dealer. When I received the box the first thing I noticed was that on the invoice in hand writing it said " Dealer Price". This is the SCAM.
Digital Express TV will send you a cable box that they know does not work. When you return it (after requesting a RMA number) they will accept the return then tell you that you are not eligible for a refund since you requested dealer pricing.
Digital TV Express has tried to intimidate me several times in an attempt to get me to drop this claim. They have stated that they claimed they have investigated me and discoverd that I am trying to steal cable tv. They even claimed they turned me in to my cable company and that I was trying to obtain ilegal cable tv. DON'T FALL FOR THEIR LIES. IF THEY TRULY INVESTIGATED ME THEY WOULD FIND OUT THAT I AM A CURRENT SUSCRIBER OF CABLE TV. FILE ANY CLAIMS YOU FEEL NECESSARY. SINCE I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH DIGITAL TV EXPRESS AND EXPRESSESED MY CONCERNS THEY HAVE UPDATED THEIR WEBSITE IN AN ATTEMPT TO COVER THEIR LIES.
THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM. DO NOT LOOSE YOUR MONEY TO THEM AS I DID.

I have made several attempts to contact this company and request a refund. Now they tell me they have no record that I even purchased from them.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. IT IS FUNNY HOW THEY WILL AUTHORIZE A RMA NUMBER FOR RETURN BUT NOT GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK. SO NOW THAT THEY HAVE THEIR PRODUCT BACK (WHICH DOES NOT WORK) THEY ALSO KEEP YOUR MONEY. THE CUSTOMER ENDS UP WITH NOTHING. THIS IS A VERY DISHONEST COMPANY THAT WILL TRY TO INTIMIDATE YOU AND THREATEN YOU IN AN ATTEMPT TO MAKE YOU FELL THAT YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG. IF YOU BEEN SCAMMED BY THIS COMPANY DO NOT GIVE UP. FILE AS MANY CLAIMS WITH THE BBB. ATORNEYS GENERAL AND ANY OTHER CONSUMER PROTECTION WEBSITES YOU CAN FIND. EVENTUALLY AFTER ENOUGH COMPLAINTS THIS COMPANY WILL BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS. IF THIE REPORT KEEPS AT LEAST ONE PERSON FROM LOOSING THEIR MONEY TO DIGITAL TV EXPRESS AS I DID I WILL COSIDER THAT A GOOD START.
