I ordered from DB&SF in August 2005, gave them a check and it was immediately cashed. I asked Mark Manley (the sales person) why there was not an address on the busines card, he told me he was new (Lie #1). (Lie #2)I got Marks name from a coworker, who had done business with him 6 months ago - he was not new. (Lie #3) They told me I would have my shutters in October, same week I was to move into my new house. I called week 1 of October 2005, they said it wouldn't be until Nov 1, 2005. I called Nov 1, and they told me they could not find my paperwork and this is when it started.

Every other day for the next two months, I would call and inquire about my order, getting the same answer of "we cannot find your file, or, the project manager has it, or, they are at the warehouse today and we will have your order status tomorrow, and with every call, they would say, 'we'll have someone call you end of business today, or first thing in the morning'.

I would wait one day and we would go through it again... sometimes I would yell a them, and they would assure me that someone would call me the next day. It is a fact that everyone in that office new my name! I even received a personal phone call/voicemail one night from Kristen indicating she would call me the following day to give me the status... I never heard a word from her. From that day on, the phone would rarely be answered. I was then told I would receive them by Christmas by Wes...I joked and said 'do you mean 2005 or 2006??" he laughed and promised 2005 - of course it was never delivered.

Conclusion is that they know the entire time what they were up to, and continued to verbally make promises that were met. Finally, after three months of being in my house and calling them everyday, I finally got a hold of someone that told me they had filed bankruptcy and then HUNG UP ON ME!! I was sick to my stomach. To this day I have not received a letter, phone call or anything officially stating that my order will not be fulfilled!!!

In addition to shutters, I ordered two wood blinds sets and somehow they did decided to deliver on those in late October after I threatened to cancel my order and have my bank retrieve the funds back, then they told me that I owed them EXTRA money for the blinds. I said, I will not be paying another dime until I receive the complete order.

This is not right and should not be tolerated. They took $2270.00 of my money...HARD EARNED MONEY - which they know nothing about. If they put their time towards doing good, vs. doing bad, they would probably be very successful. I also believe that what goes around comes around and hate to see people learn lessons the hard way, but I think they have got it coming to them. How can they rest their head every night knowing that $2270 is a lot of money for some people - especially those that work hard to fulfill their american dreams and give their children and families good homes.

Unfortunatly I have been busy the last few months moving into my new home and at a new job which takes up a lot of time...so I JUST found this website - desperate to do something about these crooks.

In addition to my situation, my neighbor was also a victim of this crime and she put the entire total on her credit card. Months went by and then she contacted her credit card company to take off the charge, they did so, and within the next day or two, DB&SF had CHARGED IT BACK TO HER!!! They actually had the nerve to charge her again, stating to the credit card company they there are going to deliver them, but never gave a date - and still no product to date.

Karmatic justice will servie itself either before or after we all get what is owed to us, and when they least expect it, in the meantime, the system will not allow consumer fraud over those that have worked hard.

Today 2/13/06, this company answers the phone as 'Shutters' and they ARE taking orders. 480-921-2365
