Discount Blind And Shade Factory. Took the money & ran! Ripoff Chandler Arizona

As an update to our previous reports, Discount Blind and Shade Factory have been now become television stars here in Arizona! They have been featured on our Channel 12 News and Channel 3 News. As of a report that aired on Channel 3 last evening (1/12/06), the owner of the company (Ken Montoya) has closed his doors! Channel 3 showed photographs of hundreds of shutters and blinds scattered all around their facility. Mr. Montoya also told Channel 3 that he was, indeed, filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. We e-mailed Channel 12 and received a quick reply from them. They too spoke to Mr. Montoya who confirmed that they will be declaring bankruptcy and that if we paid with a credit card we could take it up with credit card company and if not, like us, if you paid by check because of their so-called "discount program", that we are just one of many people victimized by the company and its' owners!

We all need to also contact the Arizona Registrar of Contractors if you have not already done so. The ROC has what is called a "slush fund" for problems such as ours, but at this point we have no idea how to ascertain how much money is left in that fund.

We will be reporting back to all of you who are in the same situation as we are after our ROC Hearing on January 19th. We have been waiting for our shutters and/or refund since May of 2005 and for a hearing since August of 2005!

We all need to band together and file a class action lawsuit against these people. No one should be allowed to treat other human beings in this manner!
