Drive Time had my vehicle reposessed due to failure to make payments. i had spoken to an individual at a dealeship is leesburg , florida about me having problems because of my job loss. so i went out of stste looking for work and came back to florida and i understand that i failed to make my payments. just recently i started to get unemployment and the one stop career center is sending me to school for a better career and be employed in a short time. but drive time will not return my vehicle and with the money i make in the army reserves is not enough. they told me more or less oh well. they dont even care im a vet. now i have no vehicle to go to school and or take my kids to school. i owe $1,000 on my vehicle and now they want cash all at once. $1,300 plus storage fees. they are crooked. they took my $15,000 vehicle to make an additional profit for someone else and dont even want to work with me.

YOU failed to live up to YOUR end of the contract and now you want DriveTime to give you the car back?
Thank you for your service to our country, but it doesn't get you out of your obligations...nor should you expect special treatment in this regard because you're a vet.
You fail to make payments, you lose it. That's how it works.

You admit that you failed to make payments and the vehicle was reposessed. Now you expect them to just give it back to you? That's not how it works.
Assuming that they haven't sold the car yet, the very least you'd be responsible for would be all of the payments and late charges to get you current, plus reposession and storage fees. Vet or not, that's how any lender would treat you. That would also be considered "working with you". If they didn't want to work with you, the car would be sold at auction (probably below market value).
You make think that's harsh, but those are the consequences for not living up to your financing agreement. It would be the same for anyone else in your position.
