they wouldnt let me leave till i bought their truck, and then after that they wouldnt even fill the gas tank, or replace the antenna that was missing, the frt bumper was out of aligment, it took 2-1/2 weekds to get that fixed, then the best thing both front tires blew out due to faulty valve stems, get this the truck is a 2007 at the time of purches it had 16500 miles on it .

gets better, driving to kansas city ks the check engin lite comes on and the truck wont run,got the dealer, 10hrs later they say its fixed something jammed up the egr valve, glad to get the hell out of there it made it 350mile to tucumcri nm and check engin lite on again. running like crap made it to albuquerque nm, rich ford says they dont have time to look at it i can leave it there since i didnt buy it from them they werent obligated to help me.

well i had to get home so i checked all the fluids and precceded to drive home to phoenix az, got to holbrook aaz and and the truck died in front of the ford dealer there

Are you really mad at Earnhardt, or are you really mad at the truck?

AUTHOR: Jm Brutovsky - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, November 28, 2008

Having read your concern I have to question where your anger is aimed at. I understand that you felt pressured into buying the truck and I am not going to get into that. I do however feel that according to your written concern, your main concern was with the truck itself. I feel your pain when it comes to suffering a breakdown when traveling out of state. I have had that happen to me and I completely understand how helpless that can make you feel. I am assuming from what you wrote that you bought a 6.0l diesel. I get that from what you said, about having concerns with the mil turning on, the engine running poorly, and the dealership that you took it to telling you that the egr valve was stuck. You never stated in your complaint if the problems with the truck were fixed by the dealership in Holbrook, so my questions to you are, 1, do you still own the truck, 2, is the truck fixed yet, and 3, are you willing to bring it back to Earnhardt service to get the truck fixed. I personally spend 100 percent of my time at work at Earnhardt fixing diesel engines, and if you still are having problems with your diesel I invite you to come to the truck center and talk to one of us about resolving your concerns. We will do our best to make your diesel ownership experence the best. Best wishes and Happy Hollidays.

Wishful Thinking

AUTHOR: Kforce - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 03, 2008

Consumers must do their homework before they go around and drop 40K on anything. Don't buy a car that is not up to your standards, there is no law that says you have to buy that car. You are in charged of your own actions, no one forced you to make that purchase.

As for the prediction, that will never happen. Ford has more money than GM, their stock is down because of the economy and the lack of fuel efficient vehicles. GM has a more likely chance to go into bankruptcy before Ford will. Ford is 40% owned by the family, they will do anything in their power to keep the company, there is too much at stake to lose.

Ford F Series trucks has been number one in the world for over 25 years. When you sell over 1 million trucks a year you are bound to see some problems. Toyota confronted this problem with their new Tundra's and with the new 5.7L engines.

Just how big was the gun they were holding to your head that kept you from leaving until you purchased the truck?

Do Tell

AUTHOR: Cory - (U.S.A.)

WHAT kind of 2007 ford truck did you pay $40,000 for? I mean they can't GIVE the 2008's away. They're "giving" $10 to $15,000 OFF of the 2008's. It's a hell of a lot cheaper to buy a NEW 2008 then it is to buy a used 2007. Those 2008 XLT expeditions, they're selling for $24-$25,000 with incentives and rebates. A used 2007 they're trying to sell for $26 to $28,000. The dealer gets paid by ford to fill the tank of a new vehicle. You get a full warranty. WHY would you pay full retail for a used vehicle that the dealer probably snatched up for around $20,000 if that?
