Earnhardt forces you to buy an 800 dollar keyless entry system. They say if you don't want it that it will cost more to remove. They do this on all their new cars. They say it is only $399 but have to write it up for $799 because they get a discount from the manufacturer that way. They are complete jerks the way they treat you too.

They have an option to give you a discount on your percentage rate if you use their lender. NEVER CHOOSE TO USE THEIR LENDER! They can give you discount regardless but force you to BUY THE WARRENTY FIRST. THE WARRENTY IS TWO THOUSAND. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY REDICULOUS! I have never been bullied into buying a warranty before. They treated me poorly and made me wait nearly three hours while they did I don't know what.

They promised that our price we negotioted was plus "tax and title". I found out that, after waiting those three hours and having my car disappear, that the salesman meant tax and title would be ADDED to that price. I threatened to leave but they said if I did I would not recieve the same offer again for my trade-in. Then they went on to charge me a huge fee for doing the title and tax documents. So huge I protested and they said the fee covered their license. It was nearly a thousand dollars more.

Do NOT ever use EARNHARDT for anything.

It is amazing about the number of people who are scared of car salesman. I see it everyday and I can understand why. You have Consumer reports telling you how to buy a car and those salesmen are sneaky. When you think about it, it is the consumer who is lying and trying to be sneaky.

When it comes to ripping people off, come on. The markup in a car is between 8% and 15%, ask consumer reports they will tell you. What is wrong with a little profit. Look at Wal-Mart who still beats everyone's prices has over 100% mark-up. Now you ask, well 10% markup on a $40,000 car is $4,000 and that is a lot of money.

A dealership hardly ever sells a car at full retail with all of the info available to the public. You don't see this from Wal-Mart. But you do see carts full of goods and food with 100% markup. One other thing about Wal-Mart. There are three owners of Wal-Mart who are in the top 10 richest people in the world. They all have a sum of 16.5 BILLON DOLLARS a piece. You will not see on person on that list or even close who is in the car business.

My other examples are Homes. When you go buy a new home from any one of the builders in the valley does anyone decide to negotiate, no. They take the price that the builder is asking and deal with the idea that the home raises in price on a weekly basis. Here is how much a homebuilder is making off of YOU. Are you ready, 15%-20% yes that is right and you can't talk them down.

Now on a $200,000 - $300,000 home, well you do the math. Then they want you to go through their financing and will make a couple of interest points on you. Again figure out how much interest there is on a $200,000 home at a 1% rate increase.

All I am getting at is that there are other companies in this great country that everyone does not think they are getting ripped of on but are and just don't know it, furniture, electronics, repair work, shoes and appliances.

Everyone is making up over 100%. Cars are not and you can negotiate with the dealer. I hope I see a few rebudles and opinions and maybe open a few eyes.
