This is a heads up to all people who are looking for website that seems to offer great prices, great locations and great customer service. 


My daughter and I had a flight booked $239 ($119 a piece) from Paris to Barcelona on August 16. The web check in showed that Charles De Gaulle was still the departure point and we arranged a shuttle only to find that the flight on Vueling had been moved to Orly. The Vueling representative claimed they notified eDreams on June 5th of this change and their web check in was broken. However, it was still not their fault because they had notified eDreams and we should contact them for a refund. We missed our flight, got no help from Vueling, had to pay $180 for two new tickets and pay to take a train (without air conditioning) across Paris. ($90 dollars is a lot cheaper than $119 from eDreams).


I assumed that eDreams would make this right. That is not the case. In stead I have gotten the typical stonewalling e-mails that say if it is a problem with a server they are not responsible. Although they were notified 2 months ahead of time, they didnt send out an e-mail until August 8. Next, the company produced an e-mail showing they sent an URGENT notification. SORRY, but that is NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I asked if they had any system in place to notify them if the person doesnt respond that means it is probably a computer glitch and some system should be in place to contact the consumer.


I highly recommend that no one rely on eDreams. They changed 3 out of 8 of my bookings and you must check your computer constantly to be sure you are still ok with your booking. Even then you cant be sure that you will arrive at your destination and that the careful plans you made and the double checking you did will mean anything. Additionally, since they have no way to insure that you have received their e-mails, you could really be stranded and out a lot of money. I am out $259 dollars . . . the cost of the original tickets and the cost of the shuttle to Charles DeGaulle.


Do not expect to deal with a person on the phone to try and resolve your issue. You will be blocked. I asked in my last e-mail for the phone number of a supervisor and all I got was an e-mail. Warning, the company looks good, but it really is a BAIT and SWITCH operation. You will get cheaper prices by dealing directly with the airlines and using the price quotes you get to contact hotels directly to book your rooms. It is not that difficult and your peace of mind is worth it. DO NOT DEAL WITH eDeams.com
