Please understand this comment or complaint is not an attempt to trash Electronic Merchant Systems. Rather, it made to inform business owners that sales people from Electronic Merchant Systems mislead people into thinking that they are
listed as a certified member of the Visa Cardholder Information Security Program.

According to Visa and Mastercard, Electronic Merchant Systems is not certified for Payment Processing. The EMS office located in Independence, Ohio is certified in Other categories, not payment processing. 

Please visit the Visa or Mastercard websites to verify and see a full list of certified providers. Using a provider that is not certified can be a costly mistake, as a number of businesses have already found out.
