Encante Skin YouthZoom, Zilna Eye Cream, L'Amour, illumeneau Encante Anti-Aging Serum & eye Cream Internet Scams Santa Ana, California

On June 23, I let my guard down and ordered some Encante eye serum and eye cream from an internet ad that came across my screen. It had the picture of a female celebrity I like and said "Free Trial. Pay Only Shipping" I thought it odd at the time that I had to enter 2 separate orders, but I ignored the warning bell and ordered anyway. The shipping was $5.95 on each order, and my c/c was immediately charged. The prducts were delivered. I opened the eye cream and tried it once.

I didn't use it or the serum after that., and frankly didn't think about it until earlier this week when I got notice of 2 charges to my card, one for $99.01 & one for $ $98.71, from 2 different vendors I didn't recognize. When I checked my account of line, it showed 2 charges: $ 98.71 from YouthZoom &  $99.01 from Zilna Eye Cream. Each had a different merchant phone number in Utah. The product bottles had a name & phone number in a Santa Ana, CA, with no address. My account was charged on July 7.

When I called one of the numbers, someone answered the phone "Vicky". When I asked about the charges when this was a "free trial", I was told thatb didn't have trial samples, that they had charged me full price when I didn't cancel after 14 days. She said it was on the webpage and that they had sent me an email reminding me to cancel or I would be changed. SHe asked if I'd opened the products. I said I had opened one. She siad she couldn't do anything about the one I'd opened, but that she would give me a 50% refund on the unopened one when I returned it.

After more discussion, she said she would offer a full refund and not charge a re-stocking fee if I returned the unopened one. SHe gave me a RMA# & and a warehouse address in Santa Ana, CA. & said I'd be issued a refund when it was received in the warehouse but that they were quite busy and it might not be immediate.

I did a lot of research on the intenet and found what I think was the ad I answered. There was nothing about a 14 cancellation period in it, nor the costs of the products other than shipping. SOme of the ads I saw offered the same products with the same text but the products  either had different names in the ads or on the order page. including L'Amour & iLLumuneau. All the ads have a banner at the top saying to order fast & that only a limited number were available, with a count-down clock.

A google search shows hundreds of links, many of which are to so-called "reviews" in beauty blogs and reports,  touting that the products are the result of "scientic reseaarch" but with no listing of that research. There were also "reviews", mostly the same on each site. They showed prioducts with the same packaging, but different names. Again, the blogs and reviews used the same language in each one.

There are multiple BB reports on this company, and I have read reports on other legitimate blogs that complaints have been filed with more than one sate attorneys general. I have filed a complaint with the FTC. and contacted the fraud depat of my credit card company.
