EXPLORE TALENT COMPANY SEEMS TO BE PREYING ON PEOPLE'S EMOTIONS. YOUR "FREE" STATUS DOES NOT GET YOU ANYTHING. YOU HAVE TO UPGRADE, AND THEN THE CHARGES CAN VARY FROM EACH INDIVIDUAL. CANCELED MY ACCOUNT AS A PRO-MEMBER DUE TO HEALTH. THEY SENT AN EMAIL STATING I WOULD REVERT BACK TO FREE, THEN CANCELED ME ALTOGETHER, WHEN I QUESTIONED THE AMOUNT OF MONIES PROMISED BACK AT ONE TIME, ARE NOW DIFFERENT AGAIN. INTERNET CALIFORNIA

Membership starts out "Free" and can continue to be "free", but you can't submit yourself to potential casting directors; unless you then PAY a fee and become "Pro-member". The membership dues seem to vary, depending on how desperate they want you, or should I say; the quotas they have to meet. I had canceled once with them, only to have them "dangel the apple in front of me" with "Talent" that was available in my area and my age brack- et. I had hesitated at first, but gave in. (My stupidity). My health did take a turn, and I could no longer see this as viable. I submit my cancellation. I was contacted by customer service from a girl named Brie. She was a very pleasant and understanding. However, someone else in the department had issues about my cancelling. I was emailed that a refund of $69.90 would be posted to my credit card. A week later; it became $10.00 less ($59.90). I then emailed back demanding an explanation; and instead I received a some- what nasty response, that my account was Closed! Period! I received no explanation for the $10.00 difference.

My experience is that Casting Directors never look at what is sent to them. They just view it as Spam mail. They prefer agents involved.

What I did get on on day, in order to "keep" me with them; was two emails from Explore Talent. I thought they were some work. Instead; it was two emails from some 25 year olds in New York listed with Explore Talent; sub-
mitting themselves to me for some job!

I should have gone to my gut feeling in the first place and from experience with Talent Agent Companies based in other states. These are bad situations who prey on peoples emotions; and their pocket books. In the end, the per-son who signs up in good faith, rarely gets anything, except monies taken from them- and then sometimes finds out the company then files Bankrupcy
and leaves them with nothing.
