to all of you: responding to gmac i do feel for all of you to have to deal with this company:I;m going through the same. i have gmac mortgage and the same experiance with this company.im 100% disabled veteran i have had them since jan 1st 2001.

my payments on my mortgage were supposed to $840 a month i went through what i thought was a va mortgage co.than i got got the first statment from gmac stating that i owed $907 will i said fine so i sent that amont then jan of this year it went up to $944 i made them payments.

Than i get an letter from a lawyer repsenting gmac mortgage that i was 6 months behind and that i owed them $6000.00 i said know way when i made my payments than they told me that was'nt enough even when i showed my payments now i putting a trace on my payments.

this company has to go this comapny sounds a lot like enron.ripping people of like this is not the american way and im going to fight this till the end anyone with info or attorneys please contact me.

you have to sue this company for everything they have. anyone else out there with this same problem please let us know. ripping disabled vetterns of is a disgrace not only to veterns but to the people they harm? thanks a lot

in response this is linda in willard ohio. first off we have been transfered to another mortgage holder so we thought.

GMAC MORTGAGE well i was told be a rep. that they have had control of our loan from the start. that GMAC was just another user name.. they actually are over fairbanks, equicredit and so forth.

we where under a forbearance with fairbanks. things seemed ok till we got a letter stating we was late and about to loose our home. but this was wrong we where up to date with our plan which they said never existed. (in there eyes) sent copies then they honored it (so we thought)
next thing we get is a friend telling us that our home was listed in a sheriff sale.

WE THE NEXT ROUND OF H..... STARTED ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!

we have be forced in to chapter 13 bankrupcy
to save our home from being sold.
they have added many extra fees they have not got coming. trying to add thousands to our amount due.
We are in the process of working thru the court to get them to accept payments and on the actual
amount they have coming.

SO PLEASE BEWARE IF AND WHEN YOUR LOAN IN CHANGED OVER. OR IS IT REALLY. HELP ME BY HELPING YOURSELF

HI, i ALSO HAVE HAD TO READ IN THE PAPER MY HOMEIS UP FOR A SHERIFFS SALE WITHOUT ANY NOTICE FROM ANY ONE. i HAVE CONTACTED THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, HUD, AND SEVERAL LAWYERS.MOST LAWYERS JUST LAUGH WHEN THEY HEAR FAIRBANKS. THEY HAVE RUINED MY CREDIT RATING AND I CAN NOR GET A REFINANCE,

My wife and I purchashed our home 10/91 and we paid cash from a disability award I received from an work injury. As a result of the injury I'm on social security. We mortgaged our home to do some re-modeling and that's when it all started.

First mortgage company was ContiMortgage and we didn't even know they sold it to Fairbanks, we kept sending payments to Conti until we got a letter from Fairbanks.We would send payments and they would return them telling us the loan was in de-fault; there was no way it could have been. I made the payments every month.

Before they foreclosed they said if we paid them 18,000 we could keep our home. I talked to their rep.and he said everything was o'k and we would talk the next day, well I call the next day and he was gone for along weekend or something. The next day they posted a foreclosure sign on our home.We received a check the other day for 143.20 as part of our settlement.You mean thats all I get for all we put in our home?They sold the house to theirselves for a little over 30,000:it was appraised by them for nearly 70,000. All we would like is our home back and our credit rating--it's ruined because of this!I wish I knew what we could do.I could sit here all night and not think of a good thing to say for Fairbanks.I don't understand why these people aren't in jail.No body there knows whats going on and don't know what to do except LIE.

in response to you letter on fairbanks my husband and i are also from willard, ohio. we have been fighting ever since 2000 with at first was equicredit. which in turn is fairbanks. or fairbanks is equicredit. not sure they even know.
we had no choice on either one.

i have just filed a complant with the ohio attorney generals office. i advise that you do the same. just go to the ohio attorney general web site. it can be all taken care of online. they say they will try to get answer.

we to are trying to save our homeof over 23 years. we just found out from the local newspaper that our home is going for sheriff sale the 28th of april. we received no notice what so ever from the court or fairbanks.

i am going to the county court house personaly to get some answers from them.this company need to be stopped period.

i can not afford a lawyer but we cannot afford not to have one at the same time.

THERE ARE 4 STATES PUTTING A HOLD ON ALL FORECLOUSER PROCEEDINGS I THINK ALL 50 STATES NEED TO STEP UP TAKE A STAND STOP THIS COMPANY.

THERE HAS TO BE SOME HONEST PEOPLE OUT THERE IN THIS WORLD. BUT WE CAN ALL REST ASSURED FAIRBANKS(EQUICREDIT) OR WHAT EVER THE NAME THEY ARE USING ON ANY GIVEN DAY ARE NOT.

THEY HAVE STARTED A FILE ON THEM.
