Fairbanks - EquiCredit not honoring contracts poor record keeping unauthorized escrow accounts Jacksonville Florida

After EquiCredit sold my mortagage to Fairbanks, I began receiving phone calls telling me that I owed them more than $1300 due to an agreement I made with EquiCredit when I was laid off in 2001. The agreement I had with EquiCredit allowed me to extend the life of my mortgage in order to bring it up to date. Fairbanks claims they have no such deal in place with me even though i had my consumer credit counselor send them copies of the signed agreement. They have been sporadically charging me late fees due to this.

Then, I noticed an escrow account on my statement in April 2003. This happened in 2002 as well. Since i pay my own insurance, I asked them why they did this. They told me they had no record of my insurance. After several phone calls I made to different reps each time, one rep finally said she would take the escrow account off and "take my word for it" that I had insurance. (yeah right)

My mortgage statements from Fairbanks rarely show up - to - date payments received by them. Late fees often show up on my statements, then suddenly disappear and re-appear every few months.
