Fairbanks/Equicredit ripoff Lets hope it stops Fairbanks unfair practices. Jacksonville Florida

I am a lucky survivor of Fairbanks/Equicredit. We refinanced our home thru another company and paid off Fairbanks/Equicredit. The new lender was agressive and didn't take any static from Fairbanks when getting a payoff. The new lender made sure they didn't charge us a prepayment penalty. Fairbanks tried to foreclose on us once for non payment. We were less than 60 days past due, due to my husband being on strike. The new lender is so different from Fairbanks. We never hear from them. No phone calls starting the first of the month, 7 days a week even on Saturday. And our payments are $150 dollars less than Fairbanks.

And today we, too, get a letter from US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Class action suit against Fairbanks Capital Corp. covering a period from January 1, 1999 to December 10, 2003. If you had a loan with Fairbanks between those dates, you will also receive a letter and claim form.

Lets hope it stops Fairbanks unfair practices.
