This company has been billing me 19.95 per month since January. I received the initial membership package (a sticker, a knife, and 2 ID cards) but none of the other benefits.

I have no access to the member sections of the websites or the facebook pages or any of the support forums.

What the hell am I paying for?

I am into this company for $139.65 and when I call the provided number to cancel membership, I'm put on hold with a repeating please hold message until my phone connection times out and hangs up automatically.

These guys are thieves.

How to remove or stop charges from Family Protection Agency/Association/etc...

AUTHOR: Charles - (United States)

POSTED: Sunday, June 03, 2018

I was also charged by Family Protection Association ($97.00) for some type of membership. Not knowing who they were or why i was charged I went to there web site using the information from my bank statement.

They have a customer care email so i took it and sent them an email. I referenced my name, bank name & the date and time of the charge. THAT'S ALL.

In the email I explained to them that the charge was UNAPPROVED and requested they do the following:

1.) Remove my name and banking information from their system

2.) Make no further charges to my account

3.) Refund the UNAPPROVED CHARGE

Now i was very nice in the wording through those requests and that portion of the email. HOWEVER the last paragraph I was a little more direct but tactful and explained that if the above request did not receive prompt attention I would use the Email Request in legal action. It was made clear that if I had to pusue this and put effort and time into this the amount would not be $97.00 because I would need to be compensated for any time, legal fees and damages I may incur including the use of the missing funds. I gave a dead line of 6/6/2018.

That email was sent 6/2/2018 @ 8:03AM EST. Received an auto generated email reply stating "We received you email! One of our Team Members will reply ASAP....blah, blah" with in about an hour. This is a Saturday morning now that this started. At 12:40PM EST I received the following: (Cut and pasted)

Thank you for contacting support!

I am so sorry to see you are requesting to cancel your membership. As we do honor a no questions asked, no hassle cancellation, I wanted to let you know your membership has been canceled as of today and you should receive no further billings.

We have also refunded the most recent charge of $97.00 on the account.

Please let us know if you have any further questions or any suggestions for improvements, as we would love for you to become a member again in the future.
Have a great day!

For the Safety, Security, and Success of the Family,

Sincerely,
Ran

This was a generic email because it was clear by my email I didn't set up a membership or trial.

Also know you can contact your bank to have them deny charges from anyone or business or have them explain the best way to stop the charge. If all else fails have a new card issued and that will change the expiration date and code which will not allow charges on the older card. That will hurt a little because any auto pay accounts will need to be updated. There may be a one time fee but it's better than a monthly one.

I really hope this helps someone.
