I started receiving Ebony magazines. I had no idea why since 1) I'm white as hell and 2) I never signed up for Ebony magazine. Contacting Ebony was hard since they didn't seem to have a number that could reach anyone and their email didnt lead me to anyone who would write back. I wrote a few times. Finally I got post card in the mail saying to contact some agency who could cancel the subscription. No name of the agency just the phone# of 800-890-8180  . I called and they said they could cancel it. They just needed my name and zipcode and they found me in the system. I asked why I was signed up for this magazine and he said I had to contact Family Readers Service at 1-888-882-5082 to find out why. I called them and  they said I was randomly sent this magazine as it was sent to people in the area free of charge. I let them know that I didnt want it and that I want to be taken off of this list where people are randomly sent these magazines. I share a mail box with 4 families who rent on the same property and so mail box space is limited and we don't want junk mail.  The woman told me that I would have to go to www.dmv.org to be put on any sort of " do not mail to list "  I repeated DMV.org? She said yes. I was puzzled because to the best of my knowledge that is a motor vehicle website.  I got off the phone with her and went there and yes it was motor vehicle website. I googled the company and it lead me to their website which had nothing but their name, address and phone#.  Google also brought me to this rip off report site and it seems others have had strange encounters with them also.
