FCNB,Spiegel Ripoff, Consumer Fraud Ripoff, Deceptive Company, Outlandish Ripoff Late Fees Beaverton Oregon

Just adding my voice to this. I did just file my complaint with the Oregon DOJ at www.doj.state.or.us regarding FCNB (following the advice of another post). I urge all others to do so!

My situation: FCNB customer for appx. 2 years. FCNB seemed suspiciously slow in posting payments and never overly helpful about this, either. Solved late fee issue by mailing in payment upon receipt of statement w/o delay or over the phone (for a "fee" of course). They never had a website through whcih to pay and would never offer automatic withdrawl despite my requests.

Didn't receive June statment until 6/27/03 and due date was 7/3/03! Had already mailed in payment to payment address, though. Like most, it is now 7/15/03 (almost 3 weeks later) and payment has still not cleared the bank. This is my only outstanding bill. Can't blame USPS for this one!!! I'm sure I'll get a late fee and will have to argue that one.

This is way beyond ridiculous, it has become criminal.
