My wife and I purchased a 1999 Chrysler 300M on 6/15/02. This vehicle had less than 30,000 miles so same met the criteria for a Gold coverage warranty plan. The warranty sales contract was presented to us and states on its face, 72 months/ 72,000 miles coverage, with a puchase date of 06/15/02.
We had a problem with the A/C system and I took the vehicle to my Chrysler Dealer. The vehicle has 50,000 miles on same, well within the 72,000 mile warranty coverage. Fidelity Warranty was contacted by the service manager, and he was told the contract was expired.
This refusal by Fidelity to pay my claim has shown me that the warranty they sell is a scam, and that they are ripping off the public, They clain in some obscure, faint, small print hidden in the contract, that the warranty began on January 1, of 1999, which is prior to the vehicle being produced/ or sold to initial owner on 09/15/99.
This information is not printed anywhere on the sales brochure they use to sell this so-called warranty, and it appears to me to be a fraudulent business practice.
