I opened my card with First Premier from an attractive e-mail stating no sign-up fees no membership fees. This was done in 1999. I made a purchase on the card for $100.00 and received my first bill for $259.18 my minimum payment was $250.00 I continued to read the statement and it said $25.00 processing fee $25.00 membership fee and $100.00 initial sign-up fee. I called the card company to dispute this and they said in order to cancel the card I would need to make the minimum payment in full. I sent a check marked final payment for $100.00 and they sent it back.
I heard nothing from them for 3 months. I then received a notice from their collections company Arrow Financial, stating I owed $685.34. They would however settle my account for $398.64 the original after interest. I wrote back stating I wanted no futher communications from them as I would take care of this matter with First Premier directly. I called First Premier and told them to take me to court if they wanted my money. They said it was not worth their time.
I heard nothing from either company till 2005. Arrow Financial sent another letter stating that I had an account with them in the amount of $685.34. I called them and asked what this was about and they said I opened a credit card with them and I owed $685.34. I said take me to court or leave me alone and remove their files from my credit report. I did not get a summons to court nor did I receive another bill. I did however get tired of this and filed suit against them. I won my case yet it continued
Now it's 2009, I now receive a bill from NCC stating I owe Premier Bankcard INC (aka First Premier) $657.29. I called them and inquired the following infomation from them.
Date of Issue(for card):June 18, 2007 (Arrow: June 15, 2005)
Credit Line: $350.00 (original $250.00) (Arrow: $300.00)
Date of Cancellation: June 15, 2008 (Arrow: June 18, 2008)
Date Received by NCC: March 15, 2009 (Arrow: June 18, 2008)
Date on the bill from NCC: March 11, 2009
I wonder why there are so many errors in this. Well lets take this into account. I had my credit report pulled in 2001 Arrow was on it and I disputed it and it was modified with the new date same happen in 2005 and 2008. Coincidence? I think not. They did this to keep the file and account alive on my credit report. I'm now going to the state's attorney.

Send the credit bureaus a letter via Certified Mail + Return Receipt stating:

Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I am requesting

- validation that this alleged debt is being reporting within the 7-year time frame as allowed under the Fair Credit Reporting Act
- validation of the original "Date of Delinquency" for this alleged debt

Cards from First Premier Bank and the like are specifically designed for the customer to fail...they make more money off of bogus fees and if the customer defaults than if he/she pays the bills on time.

The American people are reaping what they have sown by consistently voting in Right Wing politicians since 1980 who vowed to "get the government off our backs." It was all a scam...it was all about getting the government off the backs of big corporations to do as they please.
