First Premiere Bank. Fraudulent Billing. RIPOFF. NO Bills sent!!

Me and my father used this company to get an extra credit card for emergencies, it had $248 on it when it was sent to us.
We used it one time for $48, and after that it was maxed out. I could not beleive it. I called them up and they got snotty with me telling me if I had been making the payments this would not have happened. We just got the card. It has been 3 months and I have not seen a bill. They are purposely doing this so they can rack up late charges, and higher apr. I know what they are doing but they would never admit it because they are cowards.
Can anybody tell me what to do about these bastards.

AMAZING THE PEOPLE THAT DON'T READ WHAT THEY SIGN

AUTHOR: Richard - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 26, 2004

1st of all, a responsible adult does NOT apply for a credit card with his daddy. That is just an opinion, not a personal attack.

2nd, if you read all of the terms and conditions listed on the credit application, you would have seen the start-up fees that will apply to the card.

It is amazing to me that people see a credit card offer, fill it out, sign it and send it in without reading the entire application. If YOU didn't have sense enough to read it, your father should have. When you used the card the first time, you accepted the card and all of the terms and conditions and fees associated with it.

These fees would've or should've been included with your card when it arrived, giving you the opportunity to cancel the card. But instead, you immediately charged $48 to the card and apparently tried to charge more and were rejected because it was at the limit.

As far as your billing problem, I have no idea why you didn't receive a bill. Maybe you moved, maybe your postman didn't have anything better to do than to play a joke by destroying your bills, maybe First Premier has bad business practices, I have no idea. But YOU KNEW you had used the card and YOU KNEW that you and your father would be responsible for it. Therefore, when you called them, you should have addressed that issue.

Since you did not have a bill, you should have asked them what the current amount due is and where to send the payment. You should have also asked them at that point if they had your correct mailing address in their records. Sounds to me like you were angry when you called them because you weren't able to charge more "emergencies" to the card and maybe you were a little rude to them as well.

Finally, as far as your question as to "what to do about these bastards" try paying your bills on time and handling your responsibilities. Live within your means and don't rack up credit card charges that you cannot afford. You'll find that you'll have less aggrevation that way. READ THE CONTRACT NEXT TIME YOU APPLY FOR CREDIT! Have a great day! :)
