I had a debt that I fully intend to repay from Capital One Bank sent to a collection company called Firstsource Advantage. I have NEVER spoken to these people on the phone, as I do not have a phone for them to call me on. The first I have ever heard of from them was a letter they sent to my parents address.
The letter stated that "per our phone conversation today we are sending you written confirmation of your agreement to pay the above amount in full. This letter confirms that you will pay the account in full by 30 days".
This NEVER happened and I would never agree to such terms as I am not an idiot. They have a phone number (800-741-8860) but I am not about to open that flood gate. i intend to send them a debt validation letter by certified mail and include in it the fact that I am aware that they are lying and trying scare tactics on me. If anyone else has any information on dealing with this company, please let me know their experience!! Thanks.

I am a former employee of Firstsource Advantage. Im telling you now that every payment that is recieved is recorded as well as every phone conversation. Call them. It wont open any flood gate just work with them there are quite a few very nice people there. Ask for the recording and see what they say it is possible that letter was sent on accident.
