Fiverr.com Provider: fiverr.com /nanacy Fiverr Helped This Freelancer Take My Money Without Delivering Work Internet

I paid the provider $150 for a project. She marked the order "complete" on day one. After two weeks of promising to deliver the work, she missed the deadline and become 100% unresponsive. Fiverr personal "Milo" and "Hugo" refused me a refund. I did the work myself, lost $150 AND my client got the project late.

This is a small amount of money for me, but this has happend multiple times with Fiverr.com. The sellers on the site, some of them at least, seem to have found a loophole in Fiverr's policy. That is to say, you have only 13 days from the time an order it marked "complete" to even request a refund. After that, Fiverr stubbornely cites "policy" as a rationalization for not giving refunds. 

In each case, their has been a VISIBLE TREAD of messages between me and the provider, where the provider themselves even admits that the work has not been delivered and that it's "on its way." But if the provider falls into total radio silence before delivering the work, and the 13 days is up, you're out of luck. 

Even if the work is NEVER done, Fiverr won't read the thread, see that your work was not delivered and refund your money. Again, they cite "policy," which to them, seems more important than doing the right thing when someone gets ripped off on their website. 

Thankfully, PayPal has a sense of ethics and honored the refund. However, Fiverr.com penalizes you for getting your money back this way by restricting your account. 

Horrible. And a shame because there are some good honest sellers on Fiverr.com who have to suffer loss of business because of crooks like this one. Crooks assisted by Fiverr.com and their "policies."
