 The Author of this report is incorrect in saying that Ripoff Report will remove a Report for $2,000, or for any amount of money for that matter.  Ripoff Report has always had a uniform policy of NOT REMOVING Reports.  Ripoff Report is a permanent Record.

Wow is all I can say.  It seems that anyone can go onto this website and state anything they want about a business.  Then Rip Off Report asks the innocent business to send $2000 to Rip Off Report to arbitrate the complaint to have it removed.   So I guess that I will respond to this letter instead.

We do not have anyone named Lynn this is or was a member of Freedom Boat Club in Destin or Ft. Walton.  We are actively pursuing though legal means who "Lynn" is. We know that everything on the post is false.  We hope that it is not a smaller local boat club trying to damage our flawless reputation as a final act of desperation before closing their doors.

Freedom Boat Club is by far the world’s largest boating club with 75 locations 750 boats and 7000 members. Nautical Options, the franchise owner of the Northern Gulf Clubs, was awarded the highest member satisfaction rating for 2013. We have never had anything negative posted about us since we opened in early 2010. We are human and do make mistakes but address them promptly and 99.9% of the time to our members satisfaction.

So I guess I will address these comments from this "mystery member".

Lynn says we cancelled her membership. We would never cancel the membership of a member that is paying dues and in good standing. What sense would there be in cancelling a member that pays dues every month to boat. We try every day to grow our clubs and add dues paying members. Why would we cancel anyone? It simply does not make sense. If she shopped paying dues after ample warnings and chances to get caught up we would suspend her boat use until she was current. We do not have anyone in that status at this time. She says she has an original "contract". We do not have any kind of contract that is signed by anyone to be a member of the club. Simply join the club and pay monthly dues and use boats. If you chose to resign you can do so with 15 days notice. 

Lynn says our boats are old and mildewed and that she can't boat 360 days a year. The average age of our boats in our fleet is 2 years old. The only pontoon that we have in Ft. Walton is a 2012 Bennington. Destin does not have a pontoon. Although not brand new I can't imagine how this would be considered old to anyone. We put $500,000 of brand new 2014 boats in the Northern Gulf Coast Clubs in the last 45 days. We add brand new boats like this every spring. We have full time and part time dock masters at each location that wash and detail boats and have them ready for our members at a moment’s notice. These boats are available to be used every single day of the year. We have no holidays. Proper checkout paperwork is always part of using a boat. Safety equipment, flares, fire extinguishers, life vests, whistles, throw cushions, anchors and lights are required by law and are on EVERY Freedom Boat Club boat every time.

Lynn says that we do not have morals or ethics. This is truly slanderous. Nothing and I mean NOTHING could be further from the truth. Every day we bend over backwards to take care of our members and if we error it is always on the side of the members.
