I recently bought an item from an online company, and wanted to purchase the item with the company's financing card.  I filled out and completed all the blanks in the application, and submitted it.  Subsequently, I received a message from GE Money Bank that I had been turned down for the card.  Within a couple of days, I called them, and spoke to a lady about it.  After experiencing a number of bad events, I decided to write the letter below.  As of today, July 15th, I have received no response from GE Money Bank.


June 21, 2011

Dear GE Money Bank Card Services:

Approximately 25 minutes ago, I attempted to call and speak to one of your Application Processing
representatives. I dialed 1-866-419-4096, and spoke to a lady. I told her what I needed and she transferred me to the Card Services department.

After spending three minutes negotiating the recordings, I was hung up on. I again called the above number, and was again transferred to the Card Services department. After two minutes, and the recordings, the final recording told me that ...your call cannot be completed as dialed, and hung up on me.

Needless to say, I was furious by that time. So, I decided to write you this letter. Now, let me explain
my reason for calling you. Yesterday afternoon, at the budspolicesupply.com website, I attempted to apply for their financing credit card, which would have been issued by you.

My application, #65621475, was denied by you, and I was given the reason as unverifiable application information. I am totally confused by this for these reasons.

1) my credit score is 780; 2) I have excellent credit; 3) I have printed out and reviewed my credit
reports from all three credit reporting agencies, and there is no negative data in any of them; 4) I answered all the security verification questions you asked yesterday in the application, with true answers.

Please advise as to my options in this matter, as I would like to have the credit card from the company indicated in this letter.  Thank you in advance for your review of this letter.

Hi,
I would like to start with the most important information. When you apply for credit and your application is denied, according to the credit card law, you are supposed to receive a letter explaining you why you were declined. The customer service might not help you because the card you applied for was a financing card for another company, So the customer service deals with "CUSTOMERS" meaning people who have been approved for the account already and have an existing financed balance.
If you are sure about your credit score call the application department for a reconsideration, most of the companies allow that. 
Try to contact the company from which you wanted to purchase and ask them for a phone number for applications department. They are the best people who can help you with that info because they are constantly in touch with the Application Department of GE for new applications.
