Geek Squad AKA Best Buy Tech Support Service - Total Scam Plymouth Massachusetts

Took computer in because when using the built in keyboard, the system locks up and you have to reboot.  VERY annoying and a problem since the day I brought the machine home. I use my computer for business and this is a problem when I’m with a client. Told them the keyboard needed to be replaced. You can google the computer and the keyboard problem is a  KNOWN ISSUE REQUIRING REPLACEMENT.  They point out some malware and say they will clean that up.  Great.

Had a glitch finding my service plan.  Paid $200 to them for plans. They can see everything I bought except my plan. Had to find the email to prove I had it.

5 days later the machine is ready. I pick it up.  They  haven’t touched the keyboard. WHAT????  They “scrubbed the malware and all the rest of the system looks fine.”  Didn’t do anything with the keyboard.  Oh….they would have to send that out with a 3-4 week turn around.  WHAT?

Why bother?  Why not tell me that when I dropped It off?  They can’t actually repair machines in the store. WHAT? 3-4 week turn around.  WHAT?

HUGE SCAM.  And for the record…..the malware they pointed out….still there….right beside the NEW GEEKSQUAD app they loaded.

Oh….and I only had to reboot once while I was doing this report.
