Geeks on Call Geeks on Call doesn't want to pay for services rendered, makes tech's wait for weeks to get paid. Virginia Beach, Virginia

I have been doing contract computer service work for the past three years and never had so much trouble getting paid for my work as when I took an assignment from Geeks on Call thru a new online platform by http://WorkMarket.com.

I have worked for quite a few other companies thru http://WorkMarket.com, fixing printers, copiers, MAC computers, Windows PC's, etc. and was ALWAYS paid without hassle per the terms that I agreed to when I took the job. Many cases, in less than 3 days.

The customer was quite happy that I sorted out their Mac issues for passwords forgotten, printer not working, etc. and all of the issues that I came to address were completed to their complete satisfaction.

Then after A WEEK of phone calls, emails, and hassling Geeks on Call 1 to adjust the payment for the job due to it taking 3.25 hours instead of the expected 1 hour and the customer clearly understanding that they were paying for my time and not a flat fee with no disagreement on that score, Geeks on Call then took ANOTHER WEEK to approve it, and now expect me to wait TWO MORE WEEKS to get paid.

I then did some online research and found out that Geeks on Call WENT BANKRUPT in 2009, so it is now clear to me that they are now running any remnants of their business from the pockets of the techs that they hire to do work for them.
