I was involved in an accident on 08/23/2010 the person who hit me was a Geico member, Geico representatives never contacted me I finally called them 2 weeks later..I spoke with claim adjuster Christy Calhoun questioned her about pain and suffering and time from work, because the day of the accident I had to take my car in because of damage, with such arrogance and unconcern she advised me that Geico had my car repaired and paid for my rental and that is all I was entitled to and Geico was not doing anything else and I could gladly get a lawyer, case closed...

Arrogant Geico Claims Adjuster

AUTHOR: Sherry - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 14, 2012

Well if you have not already sued the heck out of them please do so.  Get a copy of the police report, present it and anything else necessary to your insurance company and tell them the story.  Something similar happened to me.  Woman talking on the phone rear ended my new car. I got her license plate took pictures of her bumper on mine and filed a police report. I called her once and she said I was trying to pull something  (all I asked for was her insurance  company)

sooooo I went downtown on my lunch hour and hired a lawyer (I never had to pay him a dime) she had not one but 2 car insurance policies.  I got my car repairs, medical bills, a year of physical therapy, time off work and his fee out of her Geico cheating b**tards.  Too bad you did not record the phone conversation and put it on the internet for all to hear what tight a**ed Christy had to say.

Wrong party...

AUTHOR: I am the law - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, May 06, 2011

The "pain and suffering" factor should be taken up in court between you and the other driver. Geico fulfilled their end of the contract. I wouldn't expect them to pay you anything else other than for the repair of your car and possibly bodily injury.

Pain and Suffering

AUTHOR: east2007 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, February 11, 2011

There could be a multitude of reasons that Geico did not contact you within those 2 weeks. If they did not have your information, that could be one. Secondly you should be glad they agreed to take care of your damages. Thirdly, "pain and suffering" Are you serious? That's what's wrong with America these days. Everyone thinks they are entitled to something for nothing. Be thankful for what you have! Do you think people in other countries not as fortunate as us are requesting for "pain and suffering" from nature because they have no food or water? No, they would be thankful to live in America and own a car. Greed, that's what you were seeking.

GEICO Is Creepy Weird

AUTHOR: Ex-employee - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, September 24, 2010

To have employees pose undercover on here as die hard loyal GEICO customers to try to discredit complaints, then gloat when a customer loses their case is just weird. Does the "tow truck driver" have his 2 cents worth? You are all just bitter that GEICO is losing sales because their insurance is overpriced - you need to stop spending so much $ on those stupid commercials that aren't even funny.

Ex-employee is on to you Ramjet!

AUTHOR: Flynrider - (USA)

"Is GEICO now paying people in India money to defend them on the web? "

Her superior deductive skills have led her to the conclusion that you not only work for GEICO, but that you're also in India.   Can't imagine why GEICO would let a talent like that get away.

Geico means nothing to me

AUTHOR: Ramjet - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 23, 2010

The reason I made a post commenting on your report is that I think they met their obligation to you and you are trying to get more money from them for this ridiculous 'pain and suffering' that seems so popular.

I think pain and suffering is nothing but greed and helps keep insurance rates higher so I applaud their refusal.

I disagree with your complaint, that's all, it's as simple as that, I have no other motive.

When you post on a public forum you should expect all kinds of responses, some you may agree with and some not.  However, that's the nature of the internet. If you don't want differing opinions, don't post.

RE: Ramjet

AUTHOR: Ex-employee - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, September 23, 2010

Ramjet, so what is your motive on here to defend GEICO? If you want to talk about greed, it is what GEICO does to its customers, claimants, and employees. Looked at other insurance companies on here, but can't find your screename anywhere. Is GEICO now paying people in India money to defend them on the web?

See, I knew it.

AUTHOR: Ramjet - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 22, 2010

I knew I'd be accused of being an employee LOL.  Go back and read my post and you will see what I really do for a living.

Also, if you read the OP, Geico paid for fixing the car and for a rental.  That's what insurance companies do.

This absurd 'pain and suffering' crap is nothing but pure greed and nothing more. The OP just wants a free payday, shameful.

AUTHOR: Ex-employee - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 22, 2010

Sorry what happened to you. Nothing surprises me with this company. They are cheap when settling claims and they disgust me. Hope you find a good lawyer. The three people that scolded you on here are obviously current employees undercover trying to do damage control for the company. Hope GEICO falls like ENRON one day.

POSTED: Tuesday, September 21, 2010

How come you waited TWO weeks before calling them?? What about your insurance company?? Did you contact them the day you had the accident??

Sorry this in on you - you waited too long. As for "pain and suffering" please! Last time I was hit by someone ( which was a hit and run) I contacted my insurance THAT day. You lose

Greed

AUTHOR: Ramjet - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 21, 2010

This is greed, pure and simple.  Geico obviously met their obligations.

This 'pain and suffering' crap is just that - Crap!

And before you say the old familiar 'you work for Geico' comment, I am a retired tech director and dislike insurance companies in general.

What?

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 21, 2010

All I get from this report is that you got into an accident.  It took you two weeks to call them.  Then when you finally called them you questioned them about "pain and suffering" and "time off from work".

It seems as if there is quite a bit missing from your story.  I would be currious as to what damage was done to the car, what injuries you actually suffered, and how much you think you should be entitled too.
