General Electric Water Heater is Junk Fairfield Connecticut

 In February 2011 I bought a GE water heater (SE50T12AAH) for $437.00 at Home Depot, and paid about $250 to have it installed. In March of 2012, eight days out of full warranty, I had to pay a plumber $240 to replace it. Tuesday August 27, 2013 I had to pay a plumber $70 to replace the lower element where it was leaking. Friday August 30, 2013 the heater had been repaired for three days with the thermostats set at 125 degrees and just this morning the temperature has reached 100.1 degrees.

My plumber came back and said the tank was still leaking in other areas and shorting the electronics. GE has agreed to replace it, but of course I need to pay for the plumber another $407 to replace it. So with my original cost of $437 and added plumbing/repair costs of $967 I will have $1,404 invested for hot water over the past 30 months. Needless to say I am not very happy with General Electric!
