Global Automotive of Miami (GAoM) sold me two Universal Oxygen Sensors that were incompatible with my vehicle, which caused poor engine operation, high fuel consumption, and even engine failure, for a period of many months. I finally gave up trying to implore them to acknowledge the situation and purchased a more expensive OEM oxygen sensor locally that works perfectly fine.

When I first reported the problems I was having, surrounding the Check Engine lamp staying on in my 2002 Chevy Tracker, I received responses from GAoM representatives that my wiring, or something else, was likely wrong with my vehicle. After being persistent that this was not the case, from my inspection and continuous resetting of the related engine trouble codes, they gave me an RMA number (return ID) and instructions to follow for returning the faulty sensor. I packaged the item up very carefully and mailed it, following these instructions to the letter. There was no mention of the necessity for providing tracking information.

Subsequently, after much time and contact with GAoM they would not acknowledge receipt of the returned sensor and pointed to the lack of tracking information. By this time, I had already installed the second sensor of the pair I originally purchased from GAoM and it failed to operate properly as well. I explained that the second sensor was not working any better than the first GAoM became rude and insulting, forcing me to become agitated and registering a complaint with eBay and PayPal (nothing of note ever came from these filings, so here is another issue to consider for the RipOff files perhaps). The person I was exchanging emails with would not confirm what, if anything, GAoM would do for me if I returned the second sensor, even after I told him that the OEM sensor I installed appeared to function perfectly, and does to this day. The point being, GAoM would not commit to any action in my favour. Then the point was made that the advertised warranty period had lapsed... LOL. I indicated that I was left with only a single recourse, which is making this story public. I was immediately accused of uttering threats. Had I only discovered this site before I made my eBay order, this all might have been avoided.

From the other horror stories concerning GAoM's business that are illustrated on the Rip-off Report web site, it is clear that this company has a poor reputation and does not care about it much. They likely make plenty of money and it is easy to see why... they sell parts without really researching their ultimate ADVERTISED compatibility properly, and they deny any responsibility, or warranty.

DO NOT BUY FROM GLOBAL AUTOMOTIVE OF MIAMI!
