Global Tel Link Over charge and they lie a lot and nobody can tell you anything Mobile Alabama

First let me say I do understand what everyone is going through when it comes dealing with Global Tel. I use to use my cable company as a phone service provider, which that company does not recieve collect calls from prisons, so i searched around to find out what company i could go through, first i called my phone company to get some numbers and they gave me the number to the department of corrections, so i opened up a prepaid account with them because i was told thats what i need to do to get calls. That was incorrect, because the prison my fiance is in only deals with Global Tel Link, so i had to transfer the money i put on the account with the department of corrections to an account with Global.

When i first contacted Global they asked me what phone service provider do i have because there is a possibility that i can just be billed, i gave them that information and they told me they didnt deal with that company so i would have to use the prepaid service. I then asked them if they dealt with Verizon they told me they did so i told lady on the phone that i wanted to open a prepaid account and i was going to switch my service to Verizon and after i switch to Verizon i will then call them back and they could start billing Verizon.

The lady i spoke to on the phone told me that was fine just call back to set up the account, when i set up the account i first put $40.00 on the account, i recieved two 10 to 15 minute calls and the $40.00 was gone i couldnt believe it i then called and asked them to put $20.00, they took it upon there self to take $5.00 so it was suppose to end up being $25.00, i then recieved one more 15 minute call from my fiance and that was it the money was gone, i thought to myself that is to much money.

I finally got my phone service switched back to Verizon and called Global back to set up an account were they could bill Verizon, after all that the lady told me once you set up a prpaid account you cant change it, you have to leave it prepaid. It was a waist of time i could have just stuck with the phone provider i previously had. and after a bunch of run around and dealing with people and there rude attitudes and supervisors acting like the money is coming out of there pockets i just said forget it.

I love and miss the hell out of my fiance and i just want to talk to him to make sure he is o.k. But if it is up to Global your not getting any calls and if you do they are charging $20.00 a call for 15 minutes.
