I had purchased a couple of domains and web hosting through Godaddy's website. Initially, I had set up 5 emails for these domains and was going to get around to building the website shortly. When it came time to set up the website, I discovered it would be very difficult to do with godaddy not having website building software on my computer.  I contacted godaddy about what to do. I was told by Mike in customer service that purchasing their website builder tool (a drag and drop builder) would solve my problem - so I did. However, a week later I discovered the 5 email accounts I had initially set up were now gone. Mike did not say ANYTHING about losing those email addresses when switching over to their website builder tool.  I called today to find out what had happened to those email addresses as I was using one of them to set up an account on another site which required an email confirmation. This is when it was discovered that I lost those email address when I "cancelled" my original purchase of web hosting to set up this new website builder tool...all through godaddy. So now I in desperate need an email account to finish setting up a totally different account on another website, and godaddy has me over a barrel.

They first tell me I can purchase a business email account with them for $109 a year. I freaked out as that is twice as much as the original domain/web hosting/ email package I had purchased in the first place.  Well, after going around with Katy at godaddy now, I'm told I can get a single email account for $48 a year and I will DEFINITELY be able to set back up those email accounts I originally had.  Fine, let do that.... Sadly, I was only able to set up 1 email address. When I called customer service for the 3rd time today, I was told that email package I just purchased was for 1 email account ONLY. But, this new gentleman in customer service could set me up with a business email package that would give me plenty of email address for an additional $79. To summarize, every single time I called after getting this "website builder tool" I was being upsold / bait and switched.

This was one of the most frustrating business transactions I have ever experienced. Not only was their total objective to squeeze money out of the customer, they did so through deceit. In the end, I had to "cancel" (because they can do it for me) the website builder tool and email package and REPURCHASE my original domain/web hosting/email and will have to figure something else out with the website. Not only that, they don't refund any of the money but rather keep it on account for an "in-store" purchase. Pretty convenient, eh?

Sounds like a w****house. You obviously got f****. Evidently lots & lots of people still don't realize or admit it to themselves that there is a ton of fraud that surrounds the internet. Why do you think some people call it the web? What lives in a web? Insects & victims of insects! Use the INTERNET for information, such as this, and for limited purposes! The flood of chinese crap has ruined this country. No one wants to spend money anymore, they want "a deal" so badly that they end up getting reamed. I hope you break the d*** off in these vermin, but you will probably never get close to getting your money back. It's hard to get unf*****! But if you are persistent & creative you may find some solace...
